Emily Bryan, Principal
Emily Bryan is Principal at Cooley Public Strategies and has almost 20 years of success in public policy advocacy for corporate and nonprofit clients, handling projects related to healthcare, sustainable energy, public lands, immigration, tax policy, and environmental issues among others. She developed and oversaw the field operations of a $3 billion infrastructure project across four southern states, resulting in the receipt of all critical permits for the project. Bryan has guided nonprofits through transformational periods and leadership transitions. Bryan is experienced in planning meaningful events, from the year-long 50th anniversary celebration of a Fortune 500 company to managing a national listening tour to develop the Innovate, Manufacture, Compete report for a national nonprofit corporation. She manages opinion leader engagement for a number of healthcare issues at the federal and state levels.
Bryan held senior positions with former governors of Tennessee and Alabama. She is a cum laude graduate of Vanderbilt University with a degree in Political Science. She has served as Senior Warden of Christ Church, Alexandria and is a sustaining member of the Junior League. She was named to the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce's class of 40 Under 40 in 2019.
