Michael Drescher brings to CPS a wide array of public affairs and communications experience in the healthcare and health technology industries. Serving in public- and private-sector roles, Drescher served as Senior Advisor and Communications Director to former Tennessee Governor, Phil Bredesen, and directed public affairs efforts during the modernization of Tennessee’s Medicaid managed care program, TennCare. He led provider network communications and directed value-based programs for BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee for more than 10 years and was previously Vice President of Account Management for UnitedHealthcare. Drescher also held positions with healthcare technology companies, with responsibility for managing corporate communications and leading strategy for sales and growth efforts into new health plan markets. He spent a decade in communications consulting with public relations and public affairs firms serving provider, corporate and public sector clients.
